By creating an account or using Ascend, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Ascend.

2. Informational and Cosmetic Analysis Only

Ascend provides automated facial measurements, scores, ratios, visualizations, comparisons, and other informational or cosmetic analyses.

Ascend is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or professional healthcare services.

Results provided by Ascend should not be interpreted as professional medical opinions or recommendations.

3. Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Procedures

You must not rely on Ascend as the sole or primary basis for deciding whether to undergo cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, injections, fillers, dental treatment, medical treatment, or any other medical or cosmetic procedure.

Any decision involving a medical or cosmetic procedure should be made only after consultation with an appropriately qualified physician, surgeon, dentist, or other licensed healthcare professional who can personally evaluate your circumstances.

Ascend does not perform, prescribe, supervise, recommend, approve, or guarantee any medical or cosmetic procedure.

4. Procedures and Outcomes

Medical and cosmetic procedures involve risks that Ascend cannot evaluate for you.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ascend and its operators are not responsible for complications, injuries, dissatisfaction, unexpected results, financial loss, or other consequences resulting from medical or cosmetic procedures undertaken by you or performed by a third party.

5. Accuracy and Limitations

Facial analysis results may be affected by factors including camera angle, focal length, lens distortion, image quality, lighting, cropping, facial expression, landmark detection, manual landmark adjustment, software limitations, and individual anatomical differences.

We do not guarantee that any measurement, score, ratio, visualization, comparison, or other result produced by Ascend is completely accurate, reliable, or suitable for any particular purpose.

6. Your Responsibility

You remain responsible for decisions you make based on information provided through Ascend.

Ascend should be used as an informational tool and not as a substitute for independent judgment or professional advice.

7. Photographs and Uploaded Content

You may upload only photographs or other content that you have the legal right to use.

You must not upload another person's photograph without their permission.

Photographs are processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use Ascend for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or harmful purposes.

You may not attempt to interfere with the security, availability, or normal operation of Ascend.

9. Third-Party Services

Ascend may rely on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, infrastructure, payment processing, and other services.

Third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ascend is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ascend and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of Ascend.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited by applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When appropriate, we may require users to accept an updated version before continuing to use Ascend.
